He is the King of Kings Yet He Has Time for Me
In worship, the word Majesty caught my attention.
He is the King of Kings,
Majesty enthroned on high.
Yet
He has time for me.
He cares about my practical needs.
He’s there for me.
He’s my Deliverer
This reminds me of a song I play for my grandsons, “He’s a great big God, a very busy God but He has time for me.” (Bullfrogs and Butterflies)
Majesty.
He created and rules the world
Yet
He will always be there for me.
“I will never leave you or forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV)

How Pressure and Chocolate Can Be Good For You
Today I felt totally stressed out. I have a great opportunity to speak to share my program, “Why and How to Write Your Story,” The speaking event is a good opportunity to educate, empower and equip others to write their stories.
I have a lot to do to get ready for it and many decisions to make which make me feel a lot of pressure because I want to do it right. In the midst of thinking all these issues through, I had a sudden craving for chocolate. 🙂 I’m health conscious so I’ve purchased raw cocoa because of it’s superior health benefits and came up with my own variation of a raw chocolate recipe.
Give Thanks For Small Acts of Kindness
Yesterday when I shopped in our local grocery store, right when I needed something. a sales clerk rounded the corner and asked, “Are you finding everything?”
I smiled, “You appeared at the right time because I’m actually looking for. . .” and I told her what I needed.
She immediately said, “Well this is over here. I’ll take you there,” Then she told me where the other item was. After I finished with the first one and walked into the main aisle, she came out to make sure I got to the right place for the second item.

Desires Fulfilled Bring Life
Today, I had a lot to do. I walked by my watercolors. My heart longed to stop and enjoy them. Most of the time I walk on because it takes time to get everything out and then put it away. Because of other demands with my work, those creative urges get repressed and leave an an unfulfilled longing.
However, today I decided to apply the 15 minute principle. I pulled out my little travel case of watercolors and sat down and began to play with them. I have taken drawing and watercolor classes before but set those on the shelf for years. Recently, I started going to a watercolor class again.

Nature’s Quiet Beauty Brings Wealth
Birds chirping. Wind gently stirring in the trees. Rich green everywhere I look. This is the nature walk I frequently enjoy along a creek that runs by our house. When I walk far enough down the road into a secluded section, the path becomes more wooded with trees lining both sides of the road.
When I used to walk, I’d often take my iPhone with me to listen to books while I walk. This made my walk for exercise pass more quickly. I felt more productive since I could absorb wisdom and knowledge from the books at the same time on my walk.

Ageless Beauty
“What is your name?” She smiled at me as I sat down my plate at the table to eat my lunch. I glanced over to the booth next to me and saw an elderly woman smiling at me.
“My name is Sharon,” I walked over to her booth thinking she must know me.
“My name is Marilyn,” she smiled at me. I realized when I arrived over there that I didn’t know her but to be gracious I went along with her.
“Good to see you!”
“I used to own a dress shop downtown so that must be where I know you from.”

Someone Cares When You’re Distressed
Do you have the freedom to accept yourself and express your feelings of stress or distress?
In some cultures, it’s not considered acceptable to express feelings of deep distress or grief. The result is that we often suppress these feelings or think there is something wrong with us.
However, David the Psalmist frequently referred to his distress or grief and anguish. By doing so, he frees us to be human. When things are not going well in the family, at work, or some other distressing life situation, David gives us permission to express those feelings, if not publicly, at least before the Lord.
How to Find Peace in Stress ~ Even in an Earthquake
Do you ever have days where you feel a little nervous and on edge? Perhaps you’re worried about a relationship issue or family situation. Maybe it’s an issue at work or you’re like a friend of mine, Lucille Zimmerman, who shared on Facebook that she felt this way about her book in the publishing process. How do you manage stress and how do you find relief from stress and anxiety?
How do you overcome fear?

How to Avoid Getting Stuck in Regret
Do you ever feel sorry because of things you did or didn’t do? Do you ever wish you could change things that happened in the past?
Most of us do.
We’ve made some mistakes we regret. In some way we’ve fallen short of all we wanted to do and be and all God wants for us. We fail to live up the ideal. The original Greek word for sin simply means to fall short. We all can admit to falling short in some area of our lives.
Now when we think about those things we can sometimes get stuck, living in regret.

A Father Can Be A Place of Refuge
What kind of image do you have of God the Father?
Do you see Him as warm, loving and compassionate or angry and distant?
The last couple of weeks before this Father’s Day, my Father God drew me once again to the truth of who He really is and not my perception of him.
Sometimes we get distorted ideas of who God the Father is because of the imperfections of our own earthly fathers. For years, I thought God was mad at me when I made mistakes, until I read and reflected on this verse,
